BENGALURU HOSTS SOUTH INDIA'S BIGGEST HORSE SHOW WITH MAJESTIC MARWARI HORSES
Welcome to
Owner's portraitThe House & its founder
Founder, Royalty Equestrian House
In the hills of Chikkaballapur, just north of Bengaluru, Royalty Equestrian House keeps one of India's oldest horse traditions alive: the breeding, care and showing of the Marwari, the horse of the Rajput courts.
2–3 lines about the owner and why he started the House
Royalty Equestrian House brought the Marwari breed show tradition to South India. After a successful first season, the House now hosts its second.
A living heritage
Bred for centuries in the Marwar region of Rajasthan, the Marwari carried the cavalry of Rajput kings. It is one of India's five indigenous horse breeds, known for its courage, endurance and unmistakable silhouette.
The ears
Inward-curving ears whose tips can touch, forming the breed's famous lyre shape. No other horse has them.
The gait
Many Marwaris move with a natural ambling gait, smooth enough for long days in the saddle.
The spirit
Hardy desert horses: loyal, brave and proud. India protects them as a national treasure.
